Backing away from Unity
Hello all!
Recently, our team has decided to cease development of this game in Unity3D and will be switching to Unreal Engine 5 over the coming months. This could be seen as a big step back, but the knowledge and experience we've all gained from our time in Unity was not all wasted. The concepts and ideas we have for this game will be translated into Unreal with relative ease; however, learning a whole new engine is going to take time.
It is daunting to start all over again, but this is a great opportunity to for us to restructure the game in a way that makes more sense.
Rest assured, we are still developing this game and won't stop until we are satisfied with the results. We have many ideas for other games in the future as well, so stick around and we'll show you what we're capable of.
Our plan is to recreate the entire game in Unreal from where we left off in Unity. You will still have access to the Unity versions, but we will rename them with a (Unity3D) in the title. There's only two, but it's important for us to have a history for this game from our first release to the future releases we are planning for.
We're excited to, not only recreate but, improve this game 10 fold with the power of Unreal Engine 5.
